Kitley House

Earlier this month, Kitley had the pleasure of welcoming over 70 guests to a special Wedding Showcase at which we tried out a brand-new format and introduced our new Wedding Coordinator, Nicole West.

We’re delighted to say that the afternoon, at which guests were received as if they were attending a real wedding, went down very well and has been hailed a success all round.

Obviously, we think Kitley is a fabulous place to celebrate your Big Day but we didn’t feel our traditional Wedding Fairs were doing our newly-refurbished rooms justice or showing couples how personal they can make their own wedding at Kitley. So, we did away with the rooms full of supplier stands and held our own bespoke ‘wedding’ instead.

Our toastmaster Steve Crosby steered our guests through the Order of Service. The afternoon started with everyone congregated by the sweeping central staircase and bar, they were then invited into the Regency Room, beautifully dressed as it would be for a ceremony. Our ‘blushing bride’ made her grand entrance in a stunning gown and accessories.

Guests were talked through the history of Kitley and the various locations licensed for services before moving to the Library for canapés and bubbly. Next, an introduction to the team who work closely with our wedding couples to make their day exactly what they want it to be. Finally, there was a toast to everyone in the room before people were led down to the Banqueting Suite, which had been stunningly decorated by Tina and Fred from Unique Designs.

There was a lovely celebratory atmosphere thanks to music by Crown Entertainment as our guest explored the bedrooms and wandered in the grounds. Many of our trusted suppliers were on hand to talk about the services and products they provide but it was all done in a very informal and tasteful way – absolutely no stands and no sales banners!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the afternoon. We very much look forward to hosting another similar event on Saturday 19th January 2020, to register click here –
