About Kitley House & Country Estate
A hidden gem of a country house
The one-mile meandering drive to our country house and wedding venue in South Devon is well worth the wait. At the end of the tree-lined driveway, you’ll be greeted by the silvery facade of our 500-year-old former manor house.
Faced in marble quarried on the estate, Kitley House is an imposing Grade-One-listed building with a steep gabled roof and a multitude of tall chimney pots. Inside, this sense of history continues. The wood-panelled reception with its coats of arms and striking castellated fireplace sets the scene for the rest of this elegant building.
Outside, hundreds of acres of quintessentially English countryside are yours to explore: rolling hills, landscaped terraces, extensive woodlands, a lake and the tranquil Yealm estuary. It’s not surprising Kitley has long been recognised as a place of outstanding beauty, featured on television and in many films.
Kitley is grand but it’s far from austere and it’s exclusively yours for the duration of your private booking! You’ll find a warm welcome here and a relaxing, friendly atmosphere.
Venture down the drive and find out what a very special place awaits you!
